Guided visits to the Castle of Lipari
On Sunday June, 3rd the 2018 season of the guided tours was inaugurated. The Association Guide Turistiche Eolie Messina Taormina promotes the discovery of the Castle of Lipari, with the archaeological site, the archaeological museum of Lipari and the Cathedral of St. Bartholomew.
Therefore the qualified guides offer to visitors the possibility to be guided around a travel through time. In fact, thanks to the peculiarity of this site, the tour is unique.
But due to the presence of a special guest, Madeleine Cavalier, and of the outgoing director of the museum, Maria Amalia Mastelloni, this opening has been very excepional.
Thank Madeleine Cavalier
The famous archaeologist reached Lipari with Marie Bernabò Brea for the celebration of her 90° birthday.
She came back in the same place, where she started her career, which left an important mark on her heart and life. Before the guided tour visitors and some tourist guides of the association listened to the tale of Madeleine Cavalier about “her” museum.
On that same day the outgoing director Maria Amalia Mastelloni said farewell to the guests and the museum going into retirement.
This event represents a great beginning for our guided tours in the sign of culture and happiness. For this reason the guided tour of the acropolis in Lipari and the meeting are unforgettable.
